Dank is a slang term for very high-quality cannabis that is aesthetically pleasing and has a strong, pungent aroma because of its high terpene and thiol levels.
In relation to cannabis, dank refers to something being good or high quality, polarising it from its original meaning as something unpleasant. During the 1980s, dank was used to describe sticky and humid buds but eventually migrated to the term for anything deemed high-grade. Dank is considered to be more flavourful and has a higher medicinal value and price point than low-grade cannabis.
